The House of fabrics was established in 1975 by Nigel Parriss and as the name suggests the emphasis is on fabrics. A huge selection from all leading manufacturers is compiled together with a complete furnishing service.
House of Fabrics provide a complete furnishing service in the making of cartons loose covers and upholstery , an expert fitting carpets tracks and plains of all types and measuring estimating and advisory services available from the Truro store. All the cushions are individually produced by hand. The design is imprinted onto the fabric using a traditional method. Woolen threads are dyed using natural dyes where possible. These threads are stitched in chainstitch by hand onto the cotton fabric and a cotton backing is then applied.
